The light hits my face
and the dawn has come

I look into her eyes and see a future
a future with no sadness, no pain, no regret
tripping the light fantastic forever in ecstacy
but it cannot be, ever denied me
I hope with all me heart
but it is all in vain
to lose someone so wonderful
it is unforgivable, unpardonable
it has been my fate since time immemorial
to come so close, so near, so dear
to love so much
and see a chasm before us
I give my dearest wishes to her
her innocent face looking back
I turn away as my heart shuts down
step by step, my tears run down
if only there was a chance
the rain pounds down on me
as has always been with me
I look back
a final vision of glory
so near yet so far
goodbye, my dearest
the darkness envelops me
a fog of longing and I disappear
